What happens on the Farm!
The Animals
Our farm is home to a growing family of animals including horses, sheep, goats, calves, chickens and more. Participants have the opportunity to feed, care for and interact with the animals while building confidence, independence and life skills. Every animal brings its own personality and creates opportunities for learning, connection and plenty of smiles.
The Activities
Participants enjoy a wide range of farm-based activities including animal care, gardening, arts and crafts, campfire cooking, nature walks and horse interaction. Activities are designed to build confidence, social skills, independence and wellbeing while having fun in a safe and supportive environment. Every day on the farm brings new experiences, learning opportunities and plenty of fresh air.
The Learning
Participants can learn a wide range of practical and social skills including animal care, teamwork, communication, problem solving and building daily routines. Farm activities encourage independence, confidence and responsibility while providing hands-on experiences in a supportive environment. Every visit offers opportunities to learn new skills, connect with others and grow through real-life experiences.
The Fun
Participants can enjoy a variety of fun farm experiences including feeding animals, collecting eggs, gardening, campfire cooking, arts and crafts, nature walks, horse interactions and seasonal farm activities. Every day brings new adventures, hands-on learning and opportunities to make friends, build confidence and create lasting memories in the great outdoors.
YR Support can often be accessed through NDIS Core Supports funding, depending on a participant's plan and goals. Our 2-hour farm-based sessions promote social connection, independence, community participation, and wellbeing, all delivered by our experienced support team at YR Station
